The project was born from an idea of Gianluca Lerici and from the desire of the authors, Jenamarie Filaccio, Vittore Baroni,
Juan Allende and Stefano Dazzi Dvořák to make it happen.
We decided to restart from the good and healthy self-production, thus reprinting in screen printing the drawings made by Gianluca Lerici during
his career dividing them into a collection of which this is the first volume.
Even before leaving us, Gianluca had already designed and drawn the anthropomorphic logo that you find on the packaging of the
"Professor Bad Trip Collection", originally recovered in the Babelic archive of Our by the brave Good Jena Omi.
You should know that, at the beginning of the 90s, Gianluca and Jena moved the headquarters of the Organic Mutation Institute
to the mountain village of Castelpoggio, in the province of Carrara, where a low and narrow room - codenamed "Cuban prison" - was
used a screen printing laboratory, to print t-shirts, posters, stickers and so on at home. Here, we have carried out the (non) instructions to the letter,
and a screen printing workshop inspired by the "Cuban prison", La Luce Rossa, has even been recreated inside the Tekè Gallery in Carrara,
where the Collection was created. If we are not pulverized in the next few weeks by an intergalactic disintegrating beam it may mean
that we have not done a hat. And if an increasingly disconsolately dystopian world will still be here waiting for us,
between a pandemic and an ecocatastrophe, we will reread it in Volume 3.
Vittore Baroni, Simone Lucciola, Jenamarie Filaccio, Valerio "Iguana" Lazzaretti, Marcello "Cuore Di Panna" Di Vita, Juan "Ruan" Allende, Stefano Dazzi Dvorak

VIVA E ABBASSO POP-UP
Viva e Abbasso
Fully screen printed Pop-Up with one opening by ResEBE.

Viva e Abbasso is a Pop-Up with single opening to be assembled
It is the result of the collaboration between Colette Baraldi aka ResEbe and Jaun Allende aka Ruan of La Luce Rossa,
a screen printing workshop born in Carrara and aimed at experimenting screen printing art in all its aspects by collaborating with local,
national and international artists.

VIVA e ABBASSO is full of rocks and water, mountains and presences, faces and hands, completely handmade in a limited artist's edition.
From the designs that compose it, to the screen printing frames that make it reproducible in one color.
The pop-up itself is to be assembled, to be learned, as happened to the artist, who has studied to make one within everyone's reach,
from the most experienced to newbies, without age or culture limits.

VIVA e ABBASSO tells the ZIGO ZAGO sign, one that goes up and one that goes down, like a sign frequency.
It reflects on the frequencies of the sign that becomes a vibrant texture and surface, in the shapes of rocks and mountains.
Where Zigo has a verse and Zago has another. Two opposites, which alone do not "sound", but together yes,
supported by the graphic choice of black and white.
A work that also becomes a broader reflection on the landscape that surrounds the city of Carrara,
on everything that rises thinking of the Mountains, as a symbol, and of everything that descends from them;
about how human beings live with Nature and how it can suffer from it, but also how it manages to reorganize itself despite us.
